Description
The bezel is a plain silver box with no decoration at all — the whole design is the step from the thin shank up to the flat table.
Carnelian this shade cuts clean and holds an edge, which is why it was the working seal stone for centuries. The engraving on this one is shallow and worn at the upper corner.
Silver has gone grey-brown across the shoulders. We have not stripped it; the tarnish is where the age is legible.
