Description
Knotted individually, so a broken thread loses one pearl and not the necklace. The knots also keep the pearls from grinding against each other, which is what dulls a strand over a decade of wear.
Nacre is white with a faint warm cast and the surface is clean at reading distance. Sizes are graded very slightly toward the front.
The clasp is a hinged gold shackle set between two ribbed collars, worn at the side rather than hidden at the nape. Photographed on organza with a silk orchid; neither is included.
