Description
Body raised from two sheets, seam hidden under the wing. The wing itself is the detailed part: scale after scale of coiled wire, laid in overlapping rows, still crisp on the shoulder and rubbed smooth at the tip.
Feet, beak and tail are separately made and soldered on. One toe is bent and one tail feather is missing — visible in the photograph, and left as found.
Sold single. The hoop passes behind the bird and hooks into a loop at its breast, so the dove faces forward when worn on the left ear and away on the right.
