Description
The two bodies are worked in sheet gold and meet at the front, leaving a gap between the beaks that catches the light before anything else does.
Granulation this fine is soldered without visible seams — the grains sit in triangles at each shoulder and along the edge of the plaque. Under magnification they are not all the same size, which is how you know they were made by hand rather than dropped from a mould.
Photographed on linen at close range; the ring itself is small, roughly the size of a modern size 6.

The photographs are honest — it is the same colour of gold in daylight as it is on the page, which I did not expect.

Exactly as described. It sits slightly higher on the collarbone than I expected — worth measuring first.

Worn daily for a year and it still looks like the day it arrived. The resize was done in three days and cost nothing, exactly as promised.

No complaints about the piece itself; delivery took a day longer than the estimate.
