Description
It fastens by tension, not by a catch. You push the fabric through the ring, pass the pin across it and rotate the whole brooch — the cloth then holds the pin down and nothing can spring open.
The frieze runs continuously around the ring: bodies, hatched wings, a knot where two of them cross. Wear has flattened the highest points and left the hatching intact in the recesses.
Photographed against blue so the engraved lines separate from the metal. In daylight the alloy is warmer than it looks here.

The photographs are honest — it is the same colour of gold in daylight as it is on the page, which I did not expect.

No complaints about the piece itself; delivery took a day longer than the estimate.

Worn daily for a year and it still looks like the day it arrived. The resize was done in three days and cost nothing, exactly as promised.

Beautiful piece and the box it arrives in is lovely. Half a star off because I had to email to ask about the chain length.
