Description
The shoulders do most of the work. A line of baguettes lies along the centre of each, bordered above and below by rows of small brilliants, so the band widens into the head without a visible join.
The emerald has the internal veiling that emeralds have. You can see it in the photograph as pale lines crossing the table — it is characteristic and not a flaw to be corrected.
Shot on black glass, which is why a second ring appears beneath. Emerald is brittle at the corners; we set it with a protective claw on each and advise against ultrasonic cleaning.
