Description
The beads are barely two millimetres across and are strung on many parallel threads, then twisted together until the whole thing behaves like a rope.
Colour drifts from blue to grey-green in patches because the glaze weathered unevenly underground. It is not a graduated design; it is what time did.
Reconstructed from loose excavated beads in the archive, in the broad-collar form they were originally strung in.
