Description
The stone is a broad teardrop, translucent at the top and clouding to opaque near the base. Under a lamp the internal banding shows as a faint orange mottle.
Its setting is deliberately coarse: a strip of dark metal folded up and beaten over the girdle, then pinched into a single loop at the apex. Green shows in the corrosion at the lower left.
An antiquity, offered as found. The loop takes a 2 mm cord — we supply one, and we do not recommend hanging it on fine chain given the weight.

They talked me out of a more expensive piece because it was wrong for my hand. I have bought twice more since.

No complaints about the piece itself; delivery took a day longer than the estimate.

Bought for an anniversary. The finish is far better than anything I was shown in the chain shops at twice the price.

Beautiful piece and the box it arrives in is lovely. Half a star off because I had to email to ask about the chain length.
