Description
Engine-turning is done first: a fan of fine lines cut into the gold, radiating from the point of the heart upwards. The red enamel goes on over the top, translucent, so the pattern reads through it and shifts as the light moves.
Six rose-cut diamonds make the star at the centre; the half-pearl in the middle of them is the only round thing on the piece.
Three seed pearls are set along the top of the bail, which means the pendant is worth turning to look at from above as well as head-on.
