Description
The engraving covers the whole outer face and is filled with a dark residue, so the pattern holds even in flat light. Inside, the silver is left plain and has taken a mottled tarnish that we have not cleaned back.
Two applied lozenges break the field: one holds a warm orange carnelian in a toothed collet, the other a plain half-dome.
It is a heavy piece with a narrow gap, and it wears high on the forearm rather than at the wrist bone.
