Description
Each rope is a long strip twisted on itself until the ridges close up, then annealed so it holds the spiral without unwinding.
The knot at the front is built from beaded wire laid over sheet, and it is the structural join as well as the ornament — the collars either side are what actually grip the ropes.
Reproduced at our bench from a Hellenistic cuff in the archive, at the original scale rather than scaled up for a modern wrist.

The photographs are honest — it is the same colour of gold in daylight as it is on the page, which I did not expect.

Bought for an anniversary. The finish is far better than anything I was shown in the chain shops at twice the price.

Beautiful piece and the box it arrives in is lovely. Half a star off because I had to email to ask about the chain length.

They talked me out of a more expensive piece because it was wrong for my hand. I have bought twice more since.
