Description
Sixteen stones fill a navette plate, largest at the middle and stepping down towards the two points. Each sits in its own cut-down silver collet.
Silver over gold was the standard for diamond work before white gold existed: silver to keep the stones cold-looking, gold underneath for strength. Both metals are visible here from the side.
The shoulders are cast as scrolls and left with soft edges. This is a tall ring and it will catch on knitwear.
