Description
Each plaque is a metal frame drilled at every turn of the pattern, and the pearls are sewn on with horsehair through those holes. Nothing is glued. From a metre away the metal disappears entirely.
The plaques graduate: narrow bands at the ends, wide foliate panels toward the front, and one large rosette at the centre carrying a raised cluster of larger pearls.
Horsehair perishes. This collar has been restrung once at our bench and will need it again in a generation — that work is included for the first owner.

Exactly as described. It sits slightly higher on the collarbone than I expected — worth measuring first.

Bought for an anniversary. The finish is far better than anything I was shown in the chain shops at twice the price.

Worn daily for a year and it still looks like the day it arrived. The resize was done in three days and cost nothing, exactly as promised.

They talked me out of a more expensive piece because it was wrong for my hand. I have bought twice more since.

The photographs are honest — it is the same colour of gold in daylight as it is on the page, which I did not expect.
