Description
Colour is the point here. The shoulders carry small triangular cells of blue and red filled flush with the metal, and the round head repeats the scheme in concentric circles — a green core inside a red field inside a ring of gold beads.
The band is base metal, dark and mottled with age, which is exactly why the gold border on the bezel still stands out at arm’s length.
One granule is missing from the lower left of the circle. We have left the gap rather than replace it with a new bead that would not match.
