Description
Faience is a glazed quartz paste, not stone, and it fades where it was buried — the beads run from strong turquoise through to pale grey-green along the same string.
The plaque hangs from a single drilled hole and turns freely; both faces are plain, worn smooth long before it came to us.
An antiquity. It is strung on modern linen thread for handling and is not intended for daily wear.
