Description
Justice stands in relief on a lapis-blue enamel field, her green skirt and pale bodice built up in successive firings. The scales hang free of the ground on either side of her — the reason this piece cannot be cast in one go.
Square-cut rubies mark the four cardinal points of the beaded gold frame, with round pearls set between them and a further ruby in each of the two side finials.
A single baroque pearl swings from the foot on a short gold link. It is drilled through, not capped, so it turns as you move and never settles the same way twice.
