Description
The garnet is deep enough in colour to look almost black in the shade and reddens the instant a lamp reaches it. Its top is carved in shallow bands rather than cut flat.
Both shoulders carry relief work — beasts, tendrils, a raised boss under the stone on each side — and the ornament continues around the back of the shank instead of stopping where a hand would hide it.
This is the heaviest antique ring in the current selection. It is offered as an antiquity, with its report, and we do not resize it.

Worn daily for a year and it still looks like the day it arrived. The resize was done in three days and cost nothing, exactly as promised.

They talked me out of a more expensive piece because it was wrong for my hand. I have bought twice more since.

The photographs are honest — it is the same colour of gold in daylight as it is on the page, which I did not expect.

Bought for an anniversary. The finish is far better than anything I was shown in the chain shops at twice the price.
