Description
Two halves of a different character on one string. Behind the shoulders it is nothing but large hollow gold spheres, graded slightly larger toward the front. Across the front, tubular spacers carry an alternating rank of fluted pomegranate buds and plain tapered spikes.
The central pendant is a ram’s head in opaque glass — white face, dark eyes, gold-capped horns — capped in gold and hung from the middle spacer.
Hollow construction throughout keeps the weight down to 71 g, which is less than the scale of it leads you to expect. Offered as an antiquity, restrung on modern cord.
