Description
Granulation runs round the head three times — a fine bead line at the rim, a heavier one at the shoulder, and a third around the collar below. Each grain was fused, not soldered, so there is no grey seam between them.
The rubies are cabochon and unevenly matched: two lean pink, the rest are a deep raspberry. They were bought as a parcel and set as they came.
The dome stands about 12 mm off the finger. It catches on knitwear, and we say so; this is not a ring to wear under a sleeve.
